Tamron's 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Lens is their first high-speed zoom lens for Sony APS-C mirrorless cameras. A maximum aperture of f2.8 across the entire 4.1x zoom ratio provides comprehensive control of depth of field and enables superb optical performance in low-light conditions. The lens is equipped with Tamron's VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism which provides a strong and reliable image stabilisation, and there's also an RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepping motor unit which offers fast and near-silent AF performance.
