The lens sees various coatings that maintain pin-sharp images and reduced flare and ghosting. Finally, the lens is surprisingly lightweight and compact for an ultra-wide-angle lens and thanks to this profile, Nikon has included a specialised lens hood that allows the use of 112mm screw-on filters, adding to the versatility of this lens.
