This interchangeable zoom lens is specific to the X Series, providing image-makers with a broad scale of focal lengths, an efficient linear motor for AF, and up to 5.5-stops of optical image stabilisation. The lens combines 17 elements into 12 groups (one aspherical element and two ED elements), all within a weather-resistant housing. The XF 70-300mm is best suited to photographing sport, nature (bird-watching), and other instances where the subject is at a significant distance from the camera. With the addition of a compatible teleconverter (not included), the XF2X TC WR for example - the maximum magnification extends to an incredible 0.66x (the 35mm equivalent of 1:1 magnification) - the ideal setup for those wanting to try their hand at macro photography.
